A review 4 years after successful rhinoplasty

Hi! Four years ago, I impulsively went up to Seoul to get rhinoplasty, and now this is my 4-year review. I wrote a short review before, but I wanted to describe the changes in my nose over the past 4 years in detail and leave various(?) thoughts, so I’m writing again! First of all, my nose wasn’t a bulbous nose or an unattractive nose, but from how I felt, I was often told that my nose was high, but it had a slight hump, so it looked a bit old-fashioned, which made me decide to get surgery. I had wanted to get surgery since middle school, and from then on I used to wear those trendy nostril-reduction items on my nose! I really got surgery on impulse, and because I lived outside Seoul, I consulted with a place that offered non-face-to-face video consultations. I had exactly one consultation, paid the deposit that same day, and went up the next week for surgery. At first, I paid the deposit for alar reduction, but in the end, I decided on shaving down the hump on the bridge and raising the nasal tip! Back then I was 21 and in college, and I had to go to school two days later too... I felt that just alar reduction would be enough. But both the consultant and the director strongly persuaded me, saying my alae weren’t wide and that my nose was one that needed the nasal tip and bridge done... So on the day of surgery, I changed from alar reduction -> nasal tip + hump correction and went into surgery! Since I lived really far outside Seoul, I had to book accommodation (to remove the cotton packing the next day), and I also had to change all my tickets to go back home, so it was a hassle, you know? But the consultant said they would give me a good price and told me to trust them and go ahead, so I think I got it done very cheaply. Usually, how much does nasal tip + hump correction cost???? Anyway, I think I got it done on the cheaper side!.. It was a hospital that hadn’t been open for long, and there weren’t many reviews either, you know? Maybe that’s why..? These days, it absolutely couldn’t be done at this price, so I don’t think you should use the price as a reference! Also, I did it behind my parents’ backs and really on impulse, so I kept asking them to make it not obvious, but in the end the director said it would be better to raise the nasal tip a little more glamorously, so it became the refined-yet-glamorous nose I have now!! The director’s aesthetic sense was seriously so good... I’m still so grateful to that hospital..... First of all, I’m very satisfied!! I think the swelling gradually went down over the course of a year, and after 6 months there weren’t any major changes in the shape. Up until 6 months after surgery, because my nose was high, I think everyone did think it looked like surgery! Now it has become much more natural, so people don’t really know unless I tell them first lol. Friends say my nose was so pretty from the start, that it seems like my parents gave me good genes, or that their friend has a really pretty nose and mine looks like that friend’s nose, and they keep complimenting my nose.. hehe. When I tell them I had surgery, friends who are interested ask about the hospital right away, you know? Still, because my nose is high, some people get unsure and ask sometimes! Occasionally? They said it looked very natural but my nose was high, so they asked! (If it looked too obvious, they’d naturally assume I had it done and wouldn’t ask, but mine has that refined-yet-glamorous feel, so it gives the impression of, “if she did it, she did it; if she didn’t, she didn’t,” that kind of refined-yet-glamorous vibe!) As for rhinoplasty side effects, I didn’t use silicone and only used septal cartilage material, so there weren’t really any major ones. My rhinitis suddenly got worse during seasonal changes? Also, a pimple inside my nose? But starting 2 years later, every fall it would appear and disappear in the same spot, so I took anti-inflammatory medication and waited, and it would disappear within a week! I don’t think it’s a side effect; I think it happens when I touch the inside of my nose with my hand! And if it counts as a side effect, it feels like the tip of my nose has dropped more than before, making it even more natural. Still, I have no intention of doing it again. I’m just glad the surgery I decided on so immaturely back when I was so immature turned out successful. I had never researched online or gone around to consultations; I only looked into exactly one place that did ZOOM consultations, had exactly one video consultation, and immediately decided on that hospital hehe. I didn’t spend even a single day worrying about hospitals.. It was a surgery I decided on within a few hours, so my friends said I was really bold. After the nose surgery, I also took so much care of my nose. I became sensitive about even the slightest touch.. When the swelling was going down, I also got really mentally stressed The week living with the splint was hell too... Still, if I went back to that time? I think I might recklessly do it again at that hospital. No, I think I would. Once my nose became prettier, I looked more sophisticated, my overall impression improved so much, and I became prettier.. I’m so, so satisfied. Now that 4 years have passed, it just feels like my own nose. I’m living really satisfied, and I wanted to let people know. I also want to say: don’t do it blindly like I did, at least do some online research... It’s fortunate that it was a success, but if you get surgery like this, I feel like it could only go wrong.!!
