It has been over a month since I had long-nose surgery using autologous costal cartilage, and now I feel like my nose is gradually settling into place. I’m still being careful, but the tight, firm feeling in my nose and the unstable feeling have become much more stable. People around me also say every time they see me that the swelling has gone down a lot and that my overall image has changed a lot! Sometimes when I look in the mirror, the changed image still feels unfamiliar, but I’m gradually getting used to it. Before rhinoplasty, because my nose was low and wide, my mouth actually looked more protruding, and my face overall felt like it lacked dimension and had no clear center. After the nose surgery, the central part stands up prominently, so I can really feel that the overall center and balance are much better! However, I was very concerned because there was a step-off in the straight wrinkle area between my eyebrows. Director Kim Hyun-joo said that after my nose fully settles, she would personally supplement it with another material, so I wondered, “Will that be okay?” But she said not to go anywhere else and that it would be fine if I had it done by her. I think I feel reassured because I trust the way she is trying to take responsibility for the nose she operated on until the end!
