I wanted to improve both the functional issues with my nose and its appearance, so I started looking into functional rhinoplasty in Busan, and ended up having surgery at ㅇㅇㅇㅋ in Seomyeon.
I usually had a lot of nasal congestion, so breathing was uncomfortable. After getting a CT scan, I was diagnosed with a deviated septum, so I decided to have rhinitis surgery at the same time.! In terms of appearance, my nostrils were on the wider side, so I had alar reduction, hump correction, nasal tip surgery, and silicone placed up to the glabella area as well.
During the consultation with the director, I liked that he explained the current condition of my nose briefly but to the point. He planned the surgery in a way that would first resolve the functional issues while also making it suit my face without looking excessive, so I felt I could trust him.
On the day of surgery, the waiting time was shorter than I expected, and they kept checking my condition even before surgery, so I was able to go into it feeling reassured. After anesthesia, I didn’t have any major pain, and they kept checking whether I had any discomfort in the recovery room too.
They said I moved around a lot during surgery, so part of the surgery was done while I was briefly awake, but maybe because of the anesthesia, I didn’t really feel much. Even when I asked questions during surgery, they answered kindly, so I felt much less nervous.
For a few days after surgery, there was some swelling, but I could see it gradually going down over time. Having cotton packed in my nose wasn’t too stuffy, maybe because my rhinitis had already been severe..
Most of all, the biggest thing I felt was that breathing through my nose definitely became easier, which was great. Before, I always felt like my nose was blocked, but thanks to correcting the deviated septum and having rhinitis surgery together, breathing in daily life has become really comfortable haha
Also, a lot of vlogs say that after rhinoplasty it hurts a lot for a few days, so since I’m someone who tends to be very sensitive to pain, I was really worried.. but maybe because I got a pain-control injection, it didn’t hurt at all haha
Appearance-wise, my nostrils were naturally refined, so my overall impression became cleaner, and the slight hump was also smoothed out. I liked that the change wasn’t excessive.
