I’m in my mid-30s and live in a very cold region.. Before surgery, I would sometimes hear that I was handsome.. but honestly, that wasn’t true.. After surgery, I regret it so much and keep thinking I shouldn’t have done it..
In mid-December 2025, I had surgery at a factory-style clinic in Gangnam using autologous costal cartilage + silicone + septal cartilage. But just 12 days after the surgery, my face swelled severely due to inflammation, and on day 14, I had revision surgery.. Crazy.. The pain was tremendous... After the first surgery, I said I would never do it again.. I never thought I’d end up having to.. I can’t even describe it..
But then, only 5 days after the second surgery, inflammation flared up again.. I couldn’t sleep at all that night and thought about suicide.. Fortunately, after getting a steroid injection, it returned to normal, but that’s when the problems started.
The swelling in my face caused severe swelling inside my nose, and I couldn’t breathe. It was just like having nasal packing in. Days when I felt like I was about to have panic attacks ate away at my mind...
Then, the columella of my nose started protruding.. So I put my finger into my nostril, aligned it, and corrected it.. Then I put tissue in, and after about three hours it returned to normal.
After that, my nose suddenly became lower, as if it had gone back to before surgery. My nasal tip became lower, the silicone shifted upward, my glabella became higher.. The angle of my nasal bridge changed, and I ended up with an Avatar nose...
I can feel the silicone at the glabella along the eyebrow line.. When I touch it, I can feel a step-off, and when I press it, it goes in.. From the area under my nose, it feels like the silicone is lifting things up like a lever.. I’m screwed..
I got medication from an ENT clinic.. Breathing got a bit better.. But if I don’t take the medication, it swells again...
Both functionally and cosmetically, it’s ruined.. Next time, I’m going to do it in one shot with autologous tissue.. I’m preparing right away... This is going to cost me a ton of money..
Be careful with rhinoplasty... Don’t go to factory-style clinics..
