My nasal tip is hard, and cartilage shows through the mucous membrane of the columella on only one side.. I heard septal extension involves grafting onto one side, so I think it might be that.. And when I touch the columella area, rather than feeling like there is a support strut, it feels like the septum is there as one solid piece..? That is the feeling I get! I had it done at an ENT clinic while having deviated septum surgery, so what did they use.. When I had a consultation at a clinic for removal, they said it was a support strut, but I’m asking just in case..! Are there any examples of how to tell the difference?
