I had about 3 surgeries at two hospitals using donated dermis and ear cartilage, and I had problems with a crooked nasal bridge (noticeable only under lighting?) and nostril asymmetry (noticeable only when viewed from below?). While looking into hospitals famous for revision surgery, I ended up having surgery at GㅇS Plastic Surgery.
At first, I had everything removed and had surgery using autologous costal cartilage. I think the crooked nasal bridge was corrected. But the nostril asymmetry got worse, to the point where it was noticeable even from the front? So even people around me could all tell, but the director said it would get better, so I trusted him and endured it, explaining to people around me that it was because it had not been long since the surgery.
But even after 6 months, it was the same. Only then did I realize something had gone wrong and requested AS, and they said it could get better if ear cartilage was used, so I had a second surgery again.
When the splint came off, it seemed to have gotten even worse again.. From then on, my trust in the director started to break. When I went for follow-ups, he only said the surgery went well, and when I told him I thought the asymmetry had gotten worse, only then did he compare the before-and-after photos and say, “Oh, you’re right?” He also did not remember any of the conversations we had had..
He kept only saying to come back in 1 month, come back in 3 months, and it was so frustrating. But since I had paid 15 million won for the surgery, I did not have the ability to go to another hospital, and thinking this was really the last time, I earnestly asked the director and had a third surgery.
This time, I had surgery focused only on correcting the asymmetry without using any material. And now it has been 3 months, but it has gotten worse again.
Suddenly, the skin on my nose started becoming indented, so I separately went to a dermatology clinic, paid about 600,000 won, got regenerative needling injections, and recovered to some extent. I also developed an incision-surgery scar, so I am continuing dermatologic treatment..
When the director saw the indented skin, he only said things like, “Why is this happening?” and “This should not happen,” so I just went to a dermatology clinic and got treated myself. Later, when he saw that I had gone to dermatology separately for treatment, he seemed displeased. I do not know if it was because he felt sorry... I am not sure. Anyway.
The problem is correcting the nostril asymmetry. I wondered if scar tissue might be the issue, so I asked the director, but he said he does not use scar-tissue injections. So I went to another hospital again and received scar-tissue injections twice for about 1 million won, and they did have some effect. But since the area is inside the nose, I stopped for now because I was worried that if I got more, there might be skin depression. I also wondered if laser treatment might work, so I paid about 600,000 won and got laser treatment, but I could not tell whether it was effective or not... (For the cost.. the effect was minimal, so I did not get more.)
The director seems to be thinking about surgery again, but honestly, to put it bluntly, for the person performing surgery, once they operate, it is over, but for the person receiving surgery, recovering while living a social life during the recovery period is really hard... People around me are worried too, but I cannot even bring myself to say I am getting surgery again...
So I am living while wearing a mask and covering it as much as possible... The person at the desk says they will ask the director and contact me, but every time they forget, and after waiting, I contact them first and make the appointment.... Now I am angry.
Still, I trusted the director and had surgery three times, but now both my body and mind are exhausted.. Honestly, even if I get it one more time, I do not think it will get better. I have no trust. But when I visit the hospital and see people getting consultations and people getting surgery, I wonder if I am the only one like this, and whether other people turned out well? I became curious.

I came here and completed 6 surgeries too hahaha I am jealous. And as I watched through the video, the director said, “I want to continue playing a role that can be help and light for people struggling because of revision surgery.” I like shining too hahaha
Addition) 2026-01-14 (Wed) I went to see the final follow-up. Before surgery, he told me it was a simple surgery and not to worry too much, but once the surgery was over, he suddenly said revision surgery cannot be perfect. So I told him I wanted to have the next surgery at another hospital, and without changing a single word, he said, “Then do that.” So irresponsibly.
If a hospital says any hospital can do it, takes advantage of a desperate patient’s feelings and charges a high price, then when it seems wrong says, “We tried it and it did not work,” who would go to that hospital and trust that director to have surgery? In a way, they are no different from doctors who save lives, so I hope they operate with responsibility!
