Before <It may not look very uneven in the photo, but it is deeply sunken..> Before <My columella is crooked, triangular nostrils, columellar scar> This is my 5th nose surgery, and if you count corrections and so on, I’ve had far more surgeries. My nose life has been extremeㅠ Rather than being unhappy with the shape, I had multiple revision surgeries because of deviation, inflammation, irregularities, drooping nasal tip, etc., and it has already been over 20 years.
If I had really known earlier that removal was an option, I would have removed it too, saved money, and lived with peace of mindㅠㅠ I feel like I spent my beautiful 20s only having surgeries, saying I was correcting what was wrongㅠㅠ
Now I’m in my early 40s, and my last surgery was in November 2018. Because of pinching of the nasal tip, lifted nostrils, redness on the nasal bridge, a pointy nasal tip, and columellar asymmetry, I learned about a removal forum in a community at that time and looked into removal. But the directors said that for a nose like mine that had been operated on many times, removal was impossible, and that if the current silicone and costal cartilage were removed, the nose would collapse. I was devastated, then consulted at a clinic near Apgujeong and had revision surgery. (I also went to ㅅㅅㅇ, but they said if the costal cartilage strut was removed, it would collapse, so surgery was impossible! I cried on the way home.)
At the hospital for my last surgery, they said they replaced the silicone with a lower one and trimmed the costal cartilage at the nasal tip smaller to set up the support column. They asked whether I had ever been injured because the middle of my nasal bridge was deeply sunken, and I was flustered. I originally had a low, round nose, so why did a sunken area appearㅠㅠ After surgery, the director said that if I removed my nose implants, I would have a truly unbelievable nose, and that this was the best option, but honestly there are still many problems now.
First, even after the last surgery, I received AS twice for correction. My nostrils were uneven, so they lowered one side, and because the alar depression was severe, they took fat and inserted it, but after three or four months it went back to square one! When I go in saying there is a problem, they say, I’ll operate for you! But honestly, I don’t know what changed. The doctor is kind, but the scars only got worse and there was no effect, so I thought I should give up and live with it. But sometimes when I press between my brows, it aches sharply, and I think my nostrils are lifting again. Like a pig nose.. My natural nose originally did not show the nostrils. Also, the columellar scar is too severe...
Honestly, because problems keep happening, I’m so annoyed and anxious that I just want to remove everything and please live comfortably with my noseㅠ I want to go back even if it is my ugly nose....
What I’m debating here is whether to go to the place where I originally had surgery and ask them to remove it.. (But when I look at their skill in suturing the columella... I’m reluctant to go. The scar really became huge. Depressed, sunken, bumpy)
Since I was turned away by ㅅ ㅅ ㅇ 5 years ago, I don’t think I can go there. I need opinions from everyone who, like me, had an old nose with many revision surgeries and underwent removal or reconstruction because of extreme costal cartilage strut + nasal bone depression + alar depression, etc.ㅠ ㅜ The thing I’m most scared of is the nostrils lifting little by little over the years..
