It’s only been two days, but I barely feel any pain. The bruising is still severe. I took my clothes off to disinfect the area, and my arms had gotten slimmer. In the photo with the compression garment on, they don’t look that thin, but I already knew going into surgery because the ultrasound results showed that I didn’t have a lot of fat to begin with and the fat layer wasn’t thick. The operating room nurses at this clinic are really kind. I’ve had several surgeries, big and small, and this was the best. It was an embarrassing situation where I had to undress completely, but they made me feel not embarrassed, so I was grateful. I did want bone-thin arms, but my wish and reality are different, so I’ll have to wait until the swelling goes down.
For now, right after surgery, the pain is just a stiff, sore feeling. I can stretch my arms up fully, and from the next day I was able to drive, go to work, and do daily activities. There was no need to think about it for so long. I’m just waiting for the swelling to go down quickly.
