It has been a while since I had surgery. Since the tip of my nose was already fairly high, I only raised the bridge with an implant. When I first said I only wanted the bridge done, they agreed, and since my skin was thin, they suggested adding artificial dermis over the silicone. It was done through a closed approach, inserted through one nostril. In addition, since they said my nose was slightly crooked, they corrected it with osteotomy by scraping both sides. After the splint came off during recovery, I felt like the silicone was a little crooked, and around 6 months later, when I felt there was no swelling, I told people I was worried it was crooked, and they admitted that yes, it really was.
