Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Clinic consultation review 1 that I’m writing so I can remember (ㄱㅇㅅ)

I’m writing my first clinic consultation review so I can remember and compare!

My goal (removing thread from my nose) and silicone removal are probably different, so please use this only as a reference!

[ㄱㅇㅅ Plastic Surgery] - A clinic mentioned as one of the top three for nose removal - Consultation fee: 10,000 won - Fill out a simple questionnaire > consultation with the consultant > consultation with the director > consultation with the consultant - It may be thread + filler (I went along with a friend and got it done without knowing anything, so I don’t remember. I hadn’t thought about filler) - I said I was scared of full sedation anesthesia and wanted sedation + local anesthesia, and they said it was possible - Expected surgery time: about 1 hour and 30 minutes - Open approach (non-open thread removal makes 100% removal difficult, and since the thread goes up to the glabella, an open approach is needed for 100% removal) - 2 treatment visits + 2 follow-up visits (I don’t currently have inflammation, and since it’s thread removal, only basic treatment will be done) - No nasal packing, splint for 3 days - From 1 week before surgery: no alcohol, stop medications including supplements - If the thin skin and bluish translucent area are due to blood vessels rather than the thread color, it may still show through even after removal, so I have to keep that in mind - Since I already have an arrow-shaped nose, they recommended slightly raising the nasal tip by tying the tip cartilage together (optional, not required) - They showed me before-and-after photos of someone who had thread removal - The cost was within the range I expected, and there wasn’t a big difference from another clinic where I got an online estimate - They didn’t pressure me to book on the same day - No CT or ultrasound imaging - Number of surgeries on surgery days: 1 in the morning / 1 in the afternoon, they said they do 2 surgeries a day

Overall review: - The director looked at my nose, checked areas like protrusion and translucency, and marked them on the consultation sheet(?). They didn’t check inside my nose. While answering, they asked, “Do you understand?” and when I had an expression like I didn’t really get it, they drew a picture and explained it again. They didn’t explain things first unless I asked, but unlike what I’d seen in clinic-shopping reviews, they weren’t the scary type who scolds you or gets annoyed.

- The consultant was very kind. I had written a list of questions in a notebook, and they asked, “Did you write down your questions?” then looked at the written questions and answered them one by one.
