Today I went in and had the tape and some of the stitches removed.. But because of the remaining stitches above and below, they put tape on and told me to come back in 3 days.. After thinking so, so hard about it.. I decided to have the surgery.. Since I work as a flight attendant.. seeing people around me getting prettier one by one.. I made the decision to have surgery after a really difficult time.. I was so worried because of the swelling too.. and I only had about a week of time I did it without my parents knowing.. Thankfully, my home is in Daegu, but I live with a friend in Seoul.. For the surgery, I had sleep anesthesia.. thankfully I didn’t wake up in the middle.. and it was comfortable.. But.. when they disinfected me before the surgery.. because of the medicine smell.. it was so, so hard.. On the way home.. (I went alone) because of the anesthesia, I was sitting slumped on the subway for about 30 minutes.. and a passing older woman helped support me.. (Everyone.. really go with a close friend or your parents.. going alone.. was so hard..) The surgery was simpler than I expected.. so it felt kind of anticlimactic.. Since I had aegyo-sal surgery two days before my nose surgery.. swelling + swelling added up.. On the day of surgery.. I really didn’t swell at all.. (I had prepared 100 pumpkin juices in advance.. and froze lots of ice..) I thought maybe I wasn’t going to swell that day.. but on the second day, really.. while looking in the mirror.. I swelled so much that even I was shocked,, Thankfully.. I did cold compresses all day on the second day.. and on the third and fourth days, the swelling thankfully went down.. I think pumpkin juice has an effect ^ㅡ^ Actually, because of the bandage, it looked like my nose hadn’t changed that much.. so I was secretly upset.. but once the swelling went down a little.. I can see the shape little by little.. According to the nurse, there is still a lot of swelling.. and once the swelling goes down, it will look higher.. and the shape will come out prettily.. Right now the nasal tip looks rounded and blunt.. so I’m a little worried.. I had a slightly bulbous nose.. I regret now that I should have done the nostril wings too.. I’m going to wait and give it time.. Those who have had surgery.. those who haven’t.. I think the most important things are courage and patience.. Before surgery you need courage.. but after surgery, I really think you need patience.. I had Gore-Tex + septal cartilage + ear cartilage (AlloDerm).. Right now I still have bruising left.. and there is a lot of swelling in my nose.. I hope the swelling goes down quickly.. Everyone, fighting~~~!!
