~~One-Eye Ptosis Surgery Review~~

I had the surgery on Monday (December 9). I was debating whether to write a review, but I'm posting this for those who are worrying about ptosis.^^ My left eye had severe ptosis~ My right eye had a hidden double eyelid~ I hadn't really noticed it, but people around me kept saying my eyes looked weird, so I suddenly ended up going to an ophthalmology clinic~ My eyes aren't especially pretty, but they matched my face well, so I didn't actually want surgery~ So I didn't look into it very much either~ Then I went to a university hospital (ophthalmology)~ They said my left eye had ptosis~ My left vision was very poor, so I had worn a lens only on that side since I was young, and they said that might have been the cause (hard contact lenses can sometimes cause ptosis, they said) Anyway! So surgery became unavoidable. I really never imagined, when winter break started, that this break would have such a fate~ I didn't want a big double eyelid, so I just asked them to make the left side thin~ For reference, ptosis surgery has to be done together with an incision, so they said a double eyelid line would inevitably be created! Anyway! I just blindly set a surgery date at the university hospital ophthalmology department~ The doctor was a woman, and when I asked my friend's father (a doctor who graduated from Seoul National University), he said this doctor was also good in the eye-plastic surgery field, so I trusted her and went ahead. People say ignorance is courage~ㅋㅋ I thought it wouldn't be a big deal.. and went into surgery~ I didn't even think I had to specifically do it at a plastic surgery clinic,,ㅋㅋ To me it felt like treatment,, Then the surgery started, and since it was a university hospital, the operating room was really big and two doctors came in to perform it~ (It wasn't a nurse assisting; a junior doctor assisted, which oddly made me feel even more reassured) Anyway,, the ptosis surgery was insanely painful,, And maybe because it was a university hospital, they weren't very friendly~ㅋㅋ It was more like, if you want it done, just do it~ㅋ Ptosis surgery supposedly causes a lot of bruising and the swelling lasts a long time! Anyway, I finished the surgery safely and came out, but the shot they gave me in the butt so I wouldn't hurt was even more painful...ㅡ.ㅡ Then I kept reading this community, and it seems like the surgery went well, The price was really cheap~ The reason was,, Ptosis surgery is originally covered by insurance~ So for ptosis in one eye (ptosis surgery includes an incision, because you have to make an incision for it to be ptosis surgery~) After insurance, it was in the low 200,000 won range.. (around 230,000 won?) My eye shape seems decent too~ Looking at the chart, it seems they set it at 6 mm.. It looks like it'll become the hidden double eyelid I wanted~ Right now it's still completely sausage-like... with bruised blood tooㅠ My family asked why I didn't just do both sides.. But I was in so much pain that I thought it was good I didn't do it, Right now, the left eye that used to be small is swollen, and the double eyelid looks super thick.. I'm just the type who doesn't really worry about things much, so I'm comfortable~^^ And since I only did one side,, I just go out wearing my thick-rimmed glasses~ㅋㅋㅋ I went to tutoring and came back too,, (the kid said I looked creepy~ㅋ) Because I don't worry about it,, it seems to be healing even better and prettier~ For those of you thinking about ptosis surgery! Because surgery is unavoidable in such cases!!!! Go to an ophthalmology clinic first, get a ptosis diagnosis, and ask about insurance coverage~ And if you are really diagnosed with ptosis, the double eyelid surgery has no choice but to be done with an incision too,,!! And ptosis can get worse over time,, so you might need surgery again, they say~ Since the muscle has weakened once,, Ah~ one more tip!ㅋ I heard you can get insurance money for ptosis surgery~ I had insurance too,, and after the surgery I found out I would get 200,000 won in insurance money~ㅋ So,, it ended up being basically a free surgery for me~ That's it, my long, long ptosis surgery review~
