If the nasal tip can be raised with costal cartilage alone, why do they also have to remove the weaker septal cartilage? Having both costal cartilage and septal cartilage removed feels a bit burdensome, and I’m curious. If they remove septal cartilage, doesn’t it become weaker than before? It could bend too. Is it just the doctors’ subjective choice of material?
I’m doing a ton of online research and in-person consultations for revision rhinoplasty hospitalsㅠ I normally breathe well too, so I’m writing because I’m worried that removing a perfectly fine septal cartilage might cause side effectsㅠ Everyone, please helpㅠㅠ
