I had it done in the winter when I was 21, and now I’m 25, so it’s been about 3-4 years. Actually, since high school I had wanted facial contouring, so while I was looking into it, I got really scared of cheek sagging and looked for other options.
Then I wondered if it would be possible to add volume with fat grafting and reduce the cheekbone-area fat with liposuction, so I went for a consultation, but they said the cheekbones are boneㅜ
Instead, since my face lacked volume, they said fat grafting would be effective, so I booked up to the second session and had surgery twiceㅎㅎ
As for pain, well, it was just a stiff, sore feeling around the lower buttock area where the fat was harvested..? And for my face, they said I should move it as little as possible for the fat to engraft well, so it felt a little stiff and uncomfortable? That was about it, and after finishing the second session, I was satisfied^^ For about 6 months..? After that, when it started to go down, it did go down, so in the end there wasn’t a huge difference.
But now, what I regret a little is that the area above the nasolabial folds and the anterior cheek seems to have engrafted well, so the nasolabial fold looks slightly shadowed.. In the end, I’m looking into facial contouring, and I have a feeling that the fat above the nasolabial fold may sag more after surgery later and make the sagging look worse..
So if I could go back, since it was a problem with my facial bones, I think I would have done contouring right away when I was younger instead of fat graftingㅎㅎ
