I’m 5 years out from complete removal, and after surgery I had columellar deviation, asymmetry, and a foreign-body sensation, so I had all foreign materials removed from the silicone septal extension, alar base reduction, dorsal hump correction, and osteotomy that had been done. Even afterward, the columellar deviation and asymmetry did not improve, and it looked a bit severe from below, but I was so sick of plastic surgery that I pretended not to notice and lived with it. Then two weeks ago, the incised columellar line suddenly became itchy as if it were burning, then suddenly swelled up a lot and turned red.
