I had rhinoplasty in 2005 and had been living well without major discomfort until recently, when after drinking alcohol, my nose suddenly hurt, felt uncomfortable, and had a pulling sensation for a while. I was so scared that I went to a hospital consultation to have it removed, and after checking the CT results and asking the hospital where I had surgery in the past, they told me silicone and artificial cartilage had been inserted. There is L-shaped silicone in my nose and artificial cartilage at the nasal tip, and they said this is a material that isn’t used much these days and carries a high risk.
