Has anyone had full removal while leaving the septal extension support strut very short?

I’m considering it. In my case, I had septal extension with a support strut placed, and I also had surgery for a deviated septum, so they said it would be dangerous to remove the septal extension support strut. I asked whether that was the doctor’s opinion, and they said that if the support strut is removed completely, even if it looks okay immediately after surgery, over time twisting, uneven nostrils, drooping, and similar visible issues usually appear, according to that person’s opinion. Then, in my thinking: 1. After releasing the nasal tip that was lengthened with septal extension, the cartilage stacked on top of it, and the nasal tip cartilage, 2. cut the support strut short to the extent of the part that becomes the native alar cartilage column and fix it in place.
