I didn’t have rhinitis surgery, so it isn’t empty nose syndrome, but my quality of life is almost the same as an empty nose patient’s. It’s been over 3 months since I had revision surgery, but the nasal obstruction isn’t improving. I can’t sleep, so I’m taking psychiatric medication. After getting online consultations from a few doctors and studying it myself, the conclusion is that the osteotomy used to narrow the nose and shaving down the hump caused trauma, narrowing the nasal valve. The problem also seems to come from putting too much donated costal cartilage in the nasal tip and extending donated costal cartilage on the septum to lower the columella, which affected the airway. I’ve narrowed it down roughly to that much. Anyway, I want to take everything out, reconstruct the nasal valve, and for the nasal tip just put in ear cartilage only…

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
