Nose Re-Surgery

When removing septal cartilage, is cartilage repositioning absolutely necessary?

I heard that if cartilage repositioning is not done when removing septal cartilage, the nose can become upturned or droop. Is that true? Looking up various information, some say it is because when a surgically altered nose already has deformity, cartilage repositioning is needed for a natural shape after implant removal, while others say that unless the nose has developed deformity, it is not essential. I don’t know which is correct.
