I came back to this community after a long time, and it seems like there are still many people looking for information or suddenly feeling scared like I was, so I’m writing a post for the first time in a while. I had revision surgery for a functional nose using autologous costal cartilage and ear cartilage, without septal cartilage, and had everything removed after 8 months. The reasons were foreign body sensation, pain, witch-like nose, and so on. Then I had complete removal, and now I’m living very well. I still can’t make a pig nose, but except for the columella, my nose is soft and flexible. As for the columellar scar, I do have a dermatology clinic I go to, but I’m not too bothered by it, so my mindset is that it’ll probably fade more with time, haha.
