The nasal tip cartilage is showing through, and the columellar strut feels uncomfortable. After going around for consultations, most doctors didn’t recommend removing the strut. Maybe they speak conservatively because if it’s removed, it’s hard to accurately predict the nose’s appearance itself. There is a method of removing the nasal tip cartilage through a closed approach and reinforcing that area with something. And if you remove the columellar strut and tie the cartilage, a piggy nose is possible too, and there’s no discomfort.
