First of all, I have an extremely low nose, a bulbous nose, and a wide nose. My nose is so low that it’s basically like I don’t have nasal bridge bone at all. I’m 3 weeks post-op from rhinoplasty, and I had 4.5 mm silicone, alar reduction, and cartilage suturing. But the look I was going for wasn’t a higher nasal bridge. I was stressed about how wide my natural alae were, so I considered reducing the alae much more important. There are limits to doing only alar reduction, so I wanted a nose that suited my face by adding silicone that wasn’t too excessive, but sigh, after the surgery I asked the doctor and they said they put in 4.5 mm. Since my nose is very low, it should be okay…

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
