I’m going around for consultations for complete removal, and while reading consultation reviews here, I feel like I’ve seen quite a few posts saying things like they said they use AlloDerm so I just ruled them out, or they said they use AlloDerm so I cut them off. I looked up what AlloDerm is, and it says it’s a type of donated dermis. I was refused complete removal at ㄱㅇㅅ lol, and when they explained reconstruction with autologous costal cartilage, they said that if it looked like the cartilage might show through, they would layer donated dermis over it. They didn’t specify whether it was AlloDerm or something else, just said donated dermis. They said it’s a material that gets 30% absorbed, but is AlloDerm like that too? If removal is needed, is it very tricky…

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
