The plastic surgery clinic keeps saying it’s not inflammation

I’m currently 3 weeks and 2 days out from revision rhinoplasty for a contracted nose. The plastic surgery clinic keeps saying it’s not inflammation, but I’ve had a history of inflammation before, and anyone can see these are inflammatory symptoms. It swelled up and became red in an instant, like I’d been stung by a bee, and my skin feels tight, but they keep saying it’s not inflammation. They say it’s the stage when scar tissue is forming, so it becomes firm and blunt-looking, and that it isn’t as swollen as I’m worrying it is. They even keep telling me not to take antibiotics and to just wait and watch the reaction, because if I take them a few times I’ll develop resistance and treatment won’t work. But last time I already missed the early treatment window and it even led to contracture…
