At the end of August, I had functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, but after 3 weeks I developed inflammation, so I had the silicone, capsule, donated costal cartilage at the nasal tip, and ear cartilage all removed. It’s been 2 weeks since removal, but the nasal bridge and the area around the nasal tip still ache and throb. I also have facial headache and tenderness. From the outside there’s no swelling and it looks fine, so the hospital that performed the surgery and the university hospital say it isn’t blood pooling or inflammation, but I’m in pain 24 hours a day and take painkillers twice a day. If it isn’t inflammation, I’m wondering if it could be the contracture phase. Has anyone had the contracture phase start right away after complete removal? Contracture phase …
