I went for a consultation about removal because of a foreign-body sensation and pressure. I asked whether the silicone was moving, whether there was any show-through at the nasal tip, and if everything was removed, whether the nose would turn up and what the shape would be like. Consultation details: They said if the silicone movement is not severe, it is okay. The nasal tip also shows through a little, but they said almost everyone who has had cosmetic surgery has a little bit of show-through. If everything is removed, it could turn up. My current nose uses donated costal cartilage, so they said it would be okay if surgery is done together with alar cartilage repositioning. Since the current nose had the hump shaved and lateral osteotomy done, if it is removed, it may look wide and flat, and if the hump was shaved a lot, they would refine it…
