I had my first surgery 7 years ago, right after I turned 20, before college started. I didn't know anything and got nose surgery, and I understood that silicone was used for the nasal bridge and support strut, and septal cartilage was used for the nasal tip. There isn't a major problem, but because my nasal tip is drooping and the tip cartilage is showing through, I went around to revision surgery consultations to improve the visible contour/see-through appearance. I took CT scans, and the nasal tip looked white like bone. Septal cartilage normally shouldn't look transparent, but it just looked white like the bones, so the doctors said it seemed like some bone was used, or that donated costal cartilage may have been used.
