I don’t have a columellar strut or septal extension, and only cartilage grafting has been done on my nasal tip. I was concerned about cartilage show, so I was planning to remove it, but when I asked in an open chat room, everyone discouraged me, saying there’s a high chance the tip could rotate upward and that I really need to be careful. In my case, there’s barely any manipulation, and I’m only removing the grafted cartilage, so would the risk still be high? In revision surgeries, people often remove a few layers of cartilage to lower the height, so isn’t there almost no difference between removing a few layers of cartilage and removing all the cartilage placed on the nasal tip?
