I booked a revision surgery because of silicone calcification and asymmetry caused by a deviated nasal septum. I want this to be my last surgery, so I’m not going to put silicone in, and they’ll use donated costal cartilage and, if needed, donated dermis. The issue is that they said I need an osteotomy. My nose is wide, so I guess it won’t work without silicone But the more I search, the more I see that no one seems as satisfied with osteotomy as they are with silicone. I’m in a situation where I’m wondering whether I should go through with it despite the risk of side effects I’m curious whether people who had an osteotomy are satisfied.
