It’s been three months since I had functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, and I feel like too much septal cartilage was harvested. Even if the septum is reinforced during removal, could collapse such as saddle nose or an inverted-V deformity still happen over time? When I see people who developed saddle nose after deviated septum surgery, usually they only had functional nose surgery without reinforcement, and it appeared after several years, even up to 9 years later in some cases. If reinforcement is done during removal, could I go more than 30 years without collapse? I’m so scared of the removal surgery too, but I absolutely don’t want to have another nose surgery in the future.
