I’m 8 months post-op after surgery with silicone on the nasal bridge, autologous costal cartilage at the nasal tip, and columellar lengthening. Due to cartilage absorption at the nasal tip, the middle of my nasal tip became indented, split like a buttock nose, and pressed down. A black line appeared. They said inflammation is the cause and that I need to remove everything from the nasal bridge and nasal tip, but I’ve never had any inflammatory reaction on the nasal bridge. The hospital said it’s an unusual case and ambiguous, but that the inflammation may have spread up to the nasal bridge. Even on the CT scan, there was nothing wrong with the nasal bridge. They say I need total removal. Has anyone had an inflammatory reaction only at the nasal tip like me? In this kind of case, is total removal the only option…
