It has been almost 10 years since my surgery, and the silicone protruded into the inside of my nasal mucous membrane. I went to an ENT clinic to have it checked, and they said my surgeon had left the clinic, so I went to that place. In the treatment room, they just pulled the silicone out for me. When I had a CT scan, they said there was a little inflammation higher up (toward the glabella), so the silicone got pushed downward and ended up breaking through. I had looked into a reconstruction hospital and made an appointment, but it was resolved more easily than I had expected, so I’m wondering if it can really be resolved like this. My nasal tip was done with septal cartilage and cartilage, so they only pulled out the silicone like that, but my nose looks the same. I heard that after removing silicone, a contracture period can come, so now I’m worried again about whether it’s okay. Is it really okay for it to be removed like this? I had the silicone removed yesterday.
