Before/after-after-after-after real review of Mentor Xtra breast augmentation
155 cm/53 kg, inframammary incision Rib cage 12.5 Mentor Xtra 400 cc I did go a bit large for my frame, but I'm so satisfied lol ㅠㅠ I was worried I might feel it was lacking after the swelling went down
Day of surgery It was my first time under general anesthesia, so I was really nervous, but my vision went blurry in 2 seconds, and when I came to, I was in the recovery room..!!! I had heard that even if they keep you warm, you can still feel cold, so I wondered why it would be cold. But apart from the blanket being warm, my body itself felt cold like I had body aches, so I was shivering. Maybe because I had dual-plane placement, every time I trembled it felt like the incised muscle tightened, so it felt more painful ㅠㅠ But overall, it didn't hurt much. It only felt stiff and sore in the recovery room, and in the taxi I would get startled once in a while at speed bumps? I think it was more like pain-with-relief, close to painless haha Maybe thanks to the pain pump lol The feel was just like a hard rubber ball, not bouncy-firm but hard-hard
Days 2-3 after surgery Because I had the pain pump attached, there was almost no pain, and it just felt a little stiff when getting out of bed. If someone supported me and I got up using my own strength, it didn't hurt, I think haha I slept at a 45-degree angle with 3 pillows under me (they said swelling goes down faster, and it hurt less this way). Sleeping like this also made my lower back, which had nothing to do with the surgery, hurt less, so I plan to sleep like this for about a week lol The feel went from hard-hard to slightly like a bouncy ball!! On the day of surgery, the area between my breasts felt like the skin was being pulled from both sides, and even when I pressed it, it was hard-hard. But it feels like the skin is loosening little by little; when I pressed it, it actually gave in very slightly. I guess it's stretching! I hope the upper fullness goes away soon ㅜ
One week after surgery I had my stitches removed and the director checked my progress. They said it turned out very well, so I felt relieved. Even to me, it wasn't the bowl-like shape I had worried about, so once the swelling and shape settle, I think I'll be even more satisfied than now lol haha At one week, the feel in the front of the breast was firm, maybe because muscle is covering it, and the sides and bottom felt like fat covering a bouncy ball? When pressing, it goes in soft~ and then you feel the bouncy ball!! lololol Can you imagine it? For my first aftercare, I got lymphatic massage? LED, and a breast pack. As far as I know, lymphatic massage is for reducing swelling, and the breast pack is probably? for swelling too, and LED is for the feel maybe.. Now that I'm saying it, I'm not sure, but right after receiving it, the softness that had been loosening over a week loosened up in 30 minutes. Now overall it's the soft-but-firm feeling I mentioned earlier!! Aftercare is good haha
One month after surgery At the one-month mark, I went to the hospital for aftercare!! In addition to the usual care, they gave me scar injections and gave me Contractubex ointment to start applying twice a day from now on! At one month, the feel isn't extremely soft, but it is soft, and if I bend my waist 90 degrees and touch them, they're very soft, so I think, ah~ maybe around 10 months later, they'll feel like this even when I'm just standing still? haha But one of my friends naturally has full breasts, and after touching mine, she said, huh? They're really soft? They feel like my breasts when they get a bit hard during my period? After a little more time, I wouldn't know unless you told me!! That made me feel good haha, haha
1 month and 2 weeks after surgery I've been applying the ointment every day without missing it haha They say consistency is the most important thing for scar ointment! So I'll apply it diligently without fail, fighting until the day the scars don't show! Also, they said I can drink alcohol after finishing all the capsular contracture medication! I think you can drink starting from week 5 after surgery (because for one week after surgery you take prescribed medicine, then from week 1 you take one month of capsular contracture medication). But since all surgeries are said to be in the recovery period from 1 month to 6 months, I won't just drink without worrying. I'll enjoy it occasionally to the extent my body can handle haha From the 3-month mark, once in a while.. I'll have to really go for it...!! For the first time in my 20-something years of life, I'm looking forward to summer lol It's spring lol haha
2 and a half months after surgery! I'm approaching the 3-month mark~! Soon I'll be able to wear even underwire bras freely haha haha The feel keeps getting better and better haha When I bend over, they've already just become soft, and only when I touch them lying down do they feel a bit hard now! I'm going soon for my 3-month aftercare, and I'm looking forward to how much better the feel will get again. Summer is coming soon, and I'm seriously so excited, just thinking, hurry up and get hot!!! I think I've bookmarked about twenty bikinis hehe I think all the swelling is gone!
