It has already been 4 months since my surgery. Time really flies haha. At first, I was very worried that recovery might take a long time, but now I have no discomfort at all in my daily life. When I first decided to have surgery, I was under a lot of stress because of my malocclusion and long face, but now I feel truly satisfied every time I look in the mirror. These days, people around me often tell me things like, “You’ve gotten really pretty,” “Your lines look so natural,” and “Your face has gotten much smaller” haha. Every time I hear that, I feel like I made the right choice getting the surgery. In particular, my side profile has definitely gotten shorter and my jawline has become smoothly refined, so I feel confident even when I tie my hair up. Before, my face looked long, so I used to wear my hair down, but now even when I tie it up, my facial proportions look nicely balanced, so I like it. My teeth have also become even, so I no longer need to cover my mouth when I smile like I used to. I think the biggest change is that I can now smile widely and naturally haha. I can also speak more confidently when talking with people, and I often hear that my expressions have become much softer. The swelling has almost completely gone down now, so my facial contours have clearly settled into place. Since it was double-jaw surgery, I thought the swelling would last a long time, but I was surprised that recovery was faster than expected lol. Now makeup sits naturally on my skin, and when I take photos, there is no obvious sign of surgery at all. Rather, people around me say, “I’m not sure what changed, but you look much more polished,” which makes me feel proud. These days, I can eat almost anything without restrictions, and my stamina has fully recovered. More than anything, beyond the external changes, I’ve gained a lot of confidence. Before, taking photos felt burdensome, but now I actually feel good every time I take pictures haha. Overall, my recovery has been fast and I’m satisfied with the results, so now I truly feel that getting the surgery was the right decision. I’m looking forward to my facial lines becoming even more natural once all the swelling is completely gone.
