Ever since I was young, whenever I took photos, my side profile was always a source of stress. I looked fine from the front, but from the side, my chin looked long and protruded forward, so my overall impression looked different.ㅠㅠ When I smiled or talked, it looked especially more prominent, and that bothered me, so even making natural facial expressions was difficult. As that stress built up, I finally made a big decision and had double jaw surgery together with two facial contouring procedures (square jaw + chin) on August 5. haha Right after surgery, unlike what I had worried about, it was not painful, but there were some uncomfortable parts. My face was very swollen and my stamina dropped, so in the beginning each day felt long. But as time passed, my body became more comfortable and the swelling went down a lot. Now, every time I look in the mirror, my side profile has changed so much that it feels amazing. In the past, when I smiled, my chin stood out a lot, but now there is none of that at all, and what I like most is that I can smile naturally. People around me also say every time they see me that my face has become much smaller and my impression has softened. I feel like I did the right thing by having surgery, and I feel proud. Before, I avoided taking photos, but these days I actually like my side profile, so I think I take more photos. Also, in the beginning chewing was uncomfortable, but now I can eat almost everything as long as it is not hard food, and it has become more comfortable. There is still a little swelling left around my cheeks and philtrum, but overall I am really satisfied. Before surgery, I had a lot of worries, but now I wonder why I did not do it sooner. Not only my appearance but also my mindset has changed. After resolving the part that had been my complex, my mind feels at ease. I am so satisfied. I only think that I am glad I did it!
