When I had my first rhinoplasty, they used my septal cartilage, and I developed a deviated septum. Rather than for cosmetic purposes, since one side of my nose is narrow, I can breathe, but it feels a bit uncomfortable, so I’m thinking of correcting the deviated septum. If I have it done at an ENT clinic, since my septal cartilage has already been used, I think they would need to use autologous costal cartilage. I’m curious whether ENT clinics also use costal cartilage in this case, and whether insurance coverage applies since it’s a revision surgery. Has anyone here had this done??
shinshin02 I had both functional and cosmetic nose surgery at a plastic surgery clinic when I had my revision rhinoplasty haha
성북동어귀 Wouldn’t that depend on the hospital..? If they’re using costal cartilage, I feel like a plastic surgery clinic might be better.. Don’t people look into functional rhinoplasty a lot these days too?
