First, I had consultations at 5 places. I have a short nose, the area between my eyebrows is a bit high, and there is some scar tissue in the middle of my nasal bridge. Three places said to remove the silicone (they said the silicone is too thin and not doing its job) and use autologous costal cartilage.. Two places recommended silicone plus autologous costal cartilage. I’m deciding between 2 places now, and I have to tell them by today One place suggested silicone plus autologous costal cartilage (a highly experienced director). The reason for using silicone is that there is a lot of scar tissue in my nose, so if they make the nasal bridge with autologous dermis or ear cartilage, it could become uneven, so they said let’s make it clean with silicone!!! (This place only explained the features of my nose, and the design will be decided on the day of surgery.) The other place has a younger director, and because I would use autologous costal cartilage and the area between my eyebrows is wide, they said to go without an implant, scrape out the area where the silicone was removed and the scar tissue, and fill the empty space with autologous costal cartilage, and make it smooth with fascia or something like that. They said silicone is used to build more height, but with my current nose, the problem is that it is short; if we raise the height more, it could look like an Avatar nose. Right now I’m more drawn to the younger director, but it bothers me a bit that he got his specialist certification in 2021. But when I look at the post-op photos, the area between the eyebrows looks okay at both places.
어나우나 Can the nasal bridge also be done with autologous costal cartilage?
키위보이 I was thinking experience is the most important thing, but after reading your post, height seems more important. If you want it higher, wouldn’t you need to go with the more experienced person?
볼에몰 [@어나우나] They said they would fill it with something that comes from the autologous costal cartilage. But when I looked at this director’s review photos, he made it smooth.
볼에몰 [@키위보이] I don’t think raising it will work My nasal bridge is at the point where it needs to be lowered now. My nasal tip is short.
훨훨날아요 What matters more is how you feel. If you feel a bit uneasy about someone being too old, I think it’s also okay to get it done by the younger person.
키위보이 [@볼에몰] Then that’s simple. You should proceed with the younger director!! Why bother with the nasal bridge
ㅇㅇ2233 Could I possibly know where the second hospital is?! I’m also looking into no-implant + autologous costal cartilage!!
성코하리라 Could I know which hospitals 1 and 2 are?

Should I just go ahead with it? I like it Since my first surgery was done very naturally, there wasn’t much of an overall change, and my bulbous nose barely feels improved, so this time I want a slightly more glamorous look. I’ll use…

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 21 What are the symptoms of inflammation vs. fibrous contracture??
I’m not sure exactly what this is right now—I wonder if it’s inflammation or scar contracture. It feels like pulling inside the nose, and there’s a headache-like uncomfortable feeling in the glabellar area. There’s no visible change on the
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 21 Removal after almost 4 years since surgery
My original nose had a hump and a drooping, arrow-shaped tip, and I had osteotomy, raised the nasal tip using septal cartilage, and used a very small amount of 1 mm silicone. I don’t know if I’m just sensitive, but it sometimes hurts with…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 21 Do you not recommend removal just because you’re unhappy with the shape??
It’s not a botched nose, but I feel like my original nose, which had a slightly lower angle, suited my face better than a more defined, high-bridged nose. I think removal would feel psychologically easier than revision surgery, but I…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 21 Is there a place that’s good at revision rhinoplasty?
<Before><After> I had my first surgery 5 years ago, and the silicone shifted sideways, the nasal septum inside my nose bent into a C-shape, and after removing the silicone and feeling my nasal bones, I realized the lateral osteotomy had…
