Nose Surgery Reviews

Donated costal cartilage was absorbed, so another revision rhinoplasty with donated costal cartilage

Self-paid revision surgery review Preoperative condition Long nose, a slightly protruding hump on the right side, drooping nasal tip. I had surgery with donated costal cartilage 2 years ago, but it was all absorbed, so I was concerned about the drooping nasal tip and bulbous nose and had surgery at D-Day. During the consultation, I had 3 improvement goals 1. The nasal tip should be lifted without being excessive (especially when viewed from the side) 2. A nose that looks smaller overall 3. Cover the area that looks slightly like a hump Considerations when choosing a clinic 1. A place that does a CT scan beforehand 2. A place that does not pressure me ("You have to pay quickly to get this price") 3. The doctor's consultation content and solution, and their attitude toward patients 4. A place close to a subway station First, in terms of satisfaction, at one month after surgery, it is 9/10. (I left 1 point because the swelling has not gone down completely yet haha) I had consultations at 8 clinics, all famous revision surgery clinics located in Gangnam, Sinsa, and Nonhyeon, and I had 2 to 3 consultations a day, including the clinic where I had surgery. I had my last consultation with Dr. Choo Sung-cheol at D-Day and paid right away that day. The reason I chose D-Day was that I truly, truly felt that he wanted to resolve my concerns, and he was actually so non-pushy that I liked it even more. I felt like I had met the doctor!! I really needed, so I decided right away. At the places I consulted before, it often felt like they were selling products and treating people as the weaker party through various options, so I felt resistant. This doctor clearly explained what was possible and what was not, and sincerely and thoughtfully explained what improvements could be made. I went after seeing reviews that Dr. Choo Sung-cheol at D-Day Plastic Surgery was good at surgery, so I had expectations, but it was beyond my expectations. He said swelling after surgery is natural, and what matters more is the patient's condition. He said I did not need to sleep sitting up and that I would heal well if I slept deeply, so I really thought, "Ah, he is a real doctor!" After surgery, I did exactly what the clinic told me to do. They told me to apply compresses often, so I used cold packs for 15 minutes every 2 hours. I did not eat salty or spicy food. I will leave my review from day 1 to one month! Revision surgery, donated costal cartilage use, cartilage tying Same day to day 1: I was wrapped in a splint, and I could not detect severe swelling, and there was almost no pain. It was just hard to breathe because of the nasal packing, but they said the packing reduces bleeding and provides fixation, so I could endure it. Day 2: I still could not really tell if there was swelling, and the area around my eyes barely swelled. There was no pain either. (Was it because of the prescription medication?) From this point, I walked about 3,000 steps in the evening, and I slept deeply. Day 3: There was really almost no pain or swelling, and only the nasal tip looked a bit round and plump from swelling, so it was amazing. After the packing was removed, heaven arrived. Breathing was so comfortable, and I walked 3,000 steps again! I took my medication exactly on time and drank a lot of lukewarm water, about 2 liters. In case the medication might not be absorbed well and be excreted, I did not take any pumpkin juice or swelling-reduction supplements at all. Day 7: After the splint was removed, the shape of my nose was clearly visible, and it came out close to the shape I wanted, so I was so happy. I did not want the nasal tip to be lifted excessively, but it was definitely lifted without being excessive. After the splint removal, I started walking twice a day, morning and evening, and the swelling really went down quickly! Week 2: The day the stitches were removed. They removed them quickly with zero pain. I went straight to work after leaving the clinic, and everyone I met kept praising me, saying my face looked more lively, so I felt really good. My nose definitely became slimmer, and because the tip was lifted, I looked younger than my age. The swelling and scars were also barely visible, so most people did not know I had surgery. As expected, I walked briskly for 1 hour each in the morning and evening. I was going crazy because I could not run, so I increased the walking time. It is so amazing that there is this little swelling!! Week 3: There is almost no pain unless I scrunch my nose excessively, and the swelling feels like it has really, amazingly, almost all gone down. From the day of surgery for 3 weeks, I did not eat spicy food with red pepper powder or salty food, and since I originally do not drink alcohol, the swelling went down very cleanly and my nose became slimmer.

One month: There is a scar at the incision site, but it is not noticeably red or anything. The clinic told me to apply ointment well, so I am applying the French ointment I bought at the clinic morning and evening. The price is very reasonable, and it seems effective. My nose has become smaller overall, and only the tip is lifted neatly, so it feels like all the swelling has gone down, but they told me to watch it slowly until 6 months, so I am a little excited again. Overall review Donated costal cartilage use: After surgery, they showed me a photo showing that the previous graft had all been absorbed and only fragments remained, and I nearly fainted They said they made it double-layered this time, and it definitely feels firmer and more solid than before. Even though it is donated costal cartilage, there is no such thing as it hurting less or more at all, and they said absorption is unavoidable, so I hope it lasts a bit longer this time. Doctor: Dr. Choo Sung-cheol was someone proactive about resolving the concerns the patient had. I think he understands well a non-excessive beauty that suits the face. His skill is also the best!! Medical staff: I want to give them 100 stars. They are so kind and cheerful that I even looked forward to clinic visit days! Consultation manager: At other places, the managers spoke too strongly and talked based on their own judgments, but Manager Choi Ji-yoon tried to make even what seemed impossible possible and communicated several times with the doctor, so I was very grateful. She really seems like a professional. Clinic atmosphere: Ordinary, but cozy and very cleanly maintained. Clinic transportation: It is a 3-minute walk from Sinsa Station, so you can arrive at the clinic quickly, and after treatment, since I was already out, I could buy what I needed at the large Olive Young across the street, which was really nice. Recommended doctor: I am so grateful that I would write this review even if someone told me not to, so I truly recommend D-Day Plastic Surgery. I did not bring someone else's photo; I decided what I wanted from points 1 to 3 and had the consultation. As I consulted at several places, I realized that my nose was a difficult surgery, so when I organized it simply and explained it, he also answered very realistically and in great detail. There was absolutely no unnecessary additional recommendation, and one month passed really comfortably without discomfort, so my satisfaction is the highest.
