Nose Surgery Reviews

Day 6 after my hook nose surgery, paid for with my own money

Today is exactly day 6 since my surgery! I went to the clinic and had the splint wrap removed and only some of the stitches taken out. I feel like my nose turned out so well.. but since this is my first rhinoplasty, I was curious whether I’m the only one who feels that way, so I’m posting this. What do you all think of my nose? Please leave lots of honest opinions!! I had surgery this Monday, and because I had looked up so many rhinoplasty reviews, I was sure I’d be swollen and bruised to the point of not looking human, but I really didn’t swell at all and had zero bruising. I was amazed, like how can they cut my ear, open my nose, shave the nasal hump, and I’m this completely fine? I heard some people get a nose-lowering effect sometimes, and I guess that was me Truly no pain, no bruising, no swelling. To be honest, my original nose was already high, so I think I spent years carefully debating whether I should have surgery or not. It would be awful if I needlessly touched a nose that was livable and that I was fairly satisfied with, then crossed a point of no return. But whenever I took photos, or even when I looked while doing makeup, the drooping nasal tip (slightly like an arrow nose) and the hump when seen from the right side bothered me so much. I was already stressed because as I got older, I lost facial fat, making my impression look somehow sharper and gaunter, and it felt like my nose was maximizing that weakness.. I just went and did it without hesitation. The hardest part was going around to clinics, and I went to consultations at all the famous nose-specialist clinics in Gangnam that people talked about in a community or other plastic surgery apps, even ENT clinics. There were also so many places famous only for revision surgery. There were a few places I thought were genuinely good, but strangely I never reached the point of wanting to entrust my surgery to them. It felt like they weren’t really good at identifying my facial structure, nasal structure, and what was lacking? It was confidence without evidence, but they did seem confident and the consultations were thorough. Still, there was somehow this vaguely unsatisfying feeling? So I stopped looking around and went straight to the “nose father” clinic where my older sister had a successful result I regret not just going there from the beginning instead of suffering. But if I don’t do this kind of legwork, I don’t feel settled, so I had to My older sister had her nose done first, about 5 years ago I think, at the place where I did mine, and it turned out so well that I also got double eyelid surgery at that clinic. The problem is that the clinic is kind of shabby... If you expect a grand Gangnam clinic with cutting-edge equipment, absolutely not. You just have to trust that one director there. Honestly, I don’t think the director is the friendly type, and he doesn’t talk much either, but he reads people’s faces so well.. I hadn’t even thought about putting silicone in the glabella area, but he told me to show my face, took one look, and said that compared with my protruding brow bones and well-shaped forehead, my glabella was sunken, so if we raised that together, my facial features would stand out much more. While going around to all those consultations, some clinics recommended ridiculous nostril reduction, nasal tip cartilage tying, and even forehead lift surgery, so those comments from this clinic’s director somehow made me trust him. I asked whether I could be just a tiny bit greedier than the nose height he planned, and he said then it would become an upturned nose and look obviously surgical, so I shouldn’t. He also said if I did nostril reduction or nasal tip cartilage tying, it would become a pinched nose, so that would be a serious problem. During the nose consultation, he doesn’t do CT scans or those custom 3D silicone implants people do these days, I think..? If the silicone is even slightly off, he personally carves it by handㄷㄷ For the surgery, I was only briefly under sedation when they injected anesthesia into my nose, and after that I stayed awake the whole time, but it really didn’t hurt at all. It hurt much less than my double eyelid surgery! There was no pain, but I could feel that something was being doneㅋㅋㄱㅋ Ugh, when they shaved the nasal hump, he was really manually rasping it back and forth I had a strong reality-check moment, like okay, if I want to become prettier, I have to endure this. He also said my nose length seemed long, so he would shave the length a little too, so he spent quite a while shaving even the length. Still, maybe it was better than taking out ear cartilage? Oh, and I brought photos of Sullyoon and the YouTuber Kim Gaeul’s nose. I felt like I didn’t have much facial fat and my face looked a bit long, so I wanted to compensate for that. I asked which of those two noses seemed to suit me better, but he didn’t answer and only said that a silicone implant that would suit my nose very well had come to mind, and that it would probably fit perfectly as if customized... He said that among those thirty-something types of silicone, it’s really not easy to have one that fits you exactly, so let’s go with this right away and just trust him. Other than that, I received detailed consultation about various other parts. As for the result, I feel like he made my nose somewhere in between Sullyoon and that YouTuber. So if you ever go there for a consultation, I recommend bringing clear photos and the exact aesthetic you’re aiming for. And this is absolutely not some ad or anything like that. It’s not the kind of clinic that gives you a discount if you write a review in the first place. (It doesn’t seem like they run events or anything to keep the clinic going either.. it’s basically an end-of-the-century clinic) So I paid the full going rate for rhinoplasty, expensively;; But I’m posting because I’m genuinely grateful that a doctor like this still exists, someone who can raise the nose this high while making it look like I didn’t have surgery and keeping my impression the same. I can’t trust all those staged Instagram splint-removal videos, and when I went through all the work of visiting clinics, every nose looked obviously done, so I felt like I was going crazy from all the legwork. In the end, I realized that a family member’s result is the most trustworthy. If you have a family member whose result turned out well, definitely go to that clinic and do it there! Don’t suffer for no reason
