At 3 months, my impression had become much softer to the point that I could clearly feel the difference before and after surgery, and I was satisfied with the functional aspects too. I had almost no sensory abnormalities, and as I could open my mouth wide, daily life became comfortable. Now it has been 9 months, and almost all the swelling is gone, and my facial line has become really natural lol People around me often tell me it turned out really well, that my impression looks so much better, and that I look much more handsome, so I feel proud every time I hear it haha I definitely feel that the difference before and after double-jaw surgery is huge. I have also been steadily receiving orthodontic treatment for 9 months, and as my teeth are gradually aligning, my impression when I smile has become much neater. Except for hard foods, I can eat almost everything, and my temporomandibular joints are stable, so I have no discomfort at all when chewing. Honestly, before surgery I had a lot of fear and worried that the recovery period would be long, but now I sincerely only think that I am glad I did it.
