Hello! I was an industrial technical personnel worker, and because my lower jaw protruded a lot, in other words, because of my underbite, I couldn’t chew food properly, so my digestion had not been good for a long time. The discomfort was so great that I thought, “If I don’t fix this jaw, who will?” so I made up my mind and had the surgery with the money I had saved while serving! At first, I simply looked into plastic surgery clinics, but the more I researched, the more I felt this was a surgery where expertise was important. After searching and reading many reviews, I became convinced that if I was going to do it, I should do it at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic where a specialist personally examines patients and performs the surgery. When I actually visited and had a consultation, they carefully analyzed the patient’s condition and explained the plan, so I felt I could trust them! After surgery, once half a year had passed, around 7 months, the change became so natural in daily life that I could barely remember my pre-surgery face! People around me would ask, “Did you really have surgery??” and, as anyone considering two-jaw surgery would probably know, there were none of the unnatural parts that can be side effects after two-jaw surgery, such as the so-called two-jaw mouth appearance, so I was very satisfied myself! Around the 8-month mark, I thought almost all the swelling had already gone down, but I could still feel my facial shape becoming more refined, so as time passed, a more natural and defined line formed, and sensation inside my mouth gradually returned, making eating and pronunciation much more comfortable! By the 9th month, the surgery had blended into my daily life so completely that it felt like something from a long time ago. I had no functional discomfort at all, and my confidence recovered a lot compared to before! Also, from the previous month, after 10 months had passed, while my face was becoming more familiar to me, my jawline and cheek fat became more refined, making my face look even slimmer haha. As time went by, my satisfaction kept increasing, and every day I thought again, “I’m really glad I decided to have surgery back then” haha. And now I’m at 11 months! My orthodontic treatment is now finished too, and all the appliances have been removed! My mouth felt so fresh it was almost liberating, and every time I looked in the mirror, I felt proud of how I had changed. At the beginning after two-jaw surgery, I had many worries, but now my function, appearance, and confidence have all recovered, so I think of it as a surgery that became a turning point in my life.
