I only had the nasal tip done, and I can feel a thread on the side where the cartilage toward the columella inside the nostril was tied. It’s at the corner of the ceiling of the nostril, so I can’t see it with my own eyes, but when I touch it with my fingernail, it even makes a clicking sound, so there’s no way it isn’t a thread. But when I went to the clinic and asked them to remove it, they said nonsense like they couldn’t see it + it’s dissolvable suture, so even if there is a thread it will dissolve + isn’t it just nose hair, so I just said okay and left. If the doctor says they can’t see it, it’s not like I can ask them to cut into healthy skin. But do doctors normally fail to even see sutures like that..? + Is it common for sutures to still not be dissolved and be palpable even at 3 months? And on the side where that remaining thread is, it wasn’t like this at 2 months, but now that I’m at 3 months, I’m feeling a foreign-body sensation again and it’s gradually getting more bumpy. So I said I was worried because it suddenly became like this when it hadn’t been this way before, and the doctor said that during the recovery process, scar tissue can form and then loosen, and that can cause a foreign-body sensation too, and since there’s no pain or redness, let’s just wait and see, so I said okay. But honestly, even when I went in after surgery saying it hurt, they just told me to take the prescribed meds, and they didn’t separately check with ultrasound or CT, only looked with their eyes, and at most applied some medicine inside my nostril.. They do call me in often, but even when I go, I don’t really trust the aftercare. So I want to ask everyone with experience whether this seems like a normal process!
