It’s day 24 after double eyelid surgery. This is a revision surgery, and my first surgery was done with the line too low, so I did it again to raise the line. I also had epicanthoplasty, and lateral + lower canthoplasty. When I went to get the stitches removed at one week, I couldn’t open my eyes because of the anesthesia, so they said they did ptosis correction on my right eye just in case, but it was overcorrected. They told me that on the same day I went to get the stitches removed, so on day 7 they put local anesthesia into my bare eye, only released the ptosis correction, and tied it again, so my right eye had stitches for 7 more days. Maybe that’s why the right side is more swollen. And 12 days after the double eyelid surgery, I had nose surgery. After the nose surgery it swelled up again, but since some swelling had already gone down before, it feels like the line came out much bigger than what they pinched during the consultation. I seriously feel like I’m going to lose my mind. When I looked it up, people said that by one month, most major swelling is gone and the line is set. The double eyelid height I wanted is about the height in the last two photos.
사쿠야123 [@Zhsizyzy] Thank you!
아머리아퍼 Doesn’t the clinic give swelling-reduction injections??
Zhsizyzy [@아머리아퍼] I live outside Seoul!!ㅠㅠ They said I could come in anytime for swelling laser treatment, so whenever I have a reason to go to Seoul, I do go!
ㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁ Sorry, but it’s not high at all, and once all that swelling goes down, it might even become thinner than the photo you wanted.
Zhsizyzy [@ㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁ] Even though it’s almost been a month now??ㅠ
ㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁ [@Zhsizyzy] For me, after double eyelid surgery, the major swelling had gone down at one month, the minor swelling went down by three months, and by one year it was completely gone. But even after all the swelling goes down, there’s still gravity-related sagging and aging for us, you know.. As the forehead skin stretches and gradually loses elasticity, now at year 5 I have inner double eyelids that are no different from monolids, so I need revision surgery lol It really keeps coming down endlessly, so don’t worry too much. Your eyes look pretty now. But because my preference is a more dramatic eye look, they look pretty to me; if you prefer a natural in-out line, you might be dissatisfied.
Zhsizyzy [@ㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁㄴㅁ] Thank you for writing such a long comment ㅠㅠ I like a semi-dramatic look, but it feels too thick… My first surgery was 3 years ago so I don’t remember, but I don’t think it was this much by one month ㅠㅠ And I’m still in 11th grade… so without thinking as far as future skin sagging, I feel like it’s high ㅠㅠ
아머리아퍼 [@Zhsizyzy] I think it might be good to ask the clinic whether you can get a swelling-reduction injection, not just swelling laser treatment, and go in once. The way it’s puffed up on the inner side of the eye like that could be more of an issue with scar tissue than simple swelling ㅜㅠ
머죠깅 Did you do it with an incisional method?
mnm6 It looks like swelling, but you did it with an incisional method, right?
Zhsizyzy [@아머리아퍼] Yeah, thank you. I already made an appointment right away for this Wednesday!ㅠㅠ
Zhsizyzy [@아머리아퍼] But isn’t scar tissue hard..? That is soft though ㅠ
아머리아퍼 [@Zhsizyzy] Originally, with an incision, scar tissue can easily rise up on the inner side of the eye. Not the kind that feels hard on the outside, but if even after time has passed it still looks kind of puffy, it could be an issue with scar tissue ㅜㅜ Anyway, I’m glad you decided to get an injection, and I hope your recovery goes beautifully and well soon.
Zhsizyzy [@머죠깅] Yeah, incision..
Zhsizyzy [@mnm6] Yeah, it’s incision…
Zhsizyzy [@아머리아퍼] Thank you ㅠㅠㅠ
ㅜ나어어우유 It looks swollen, but if not, getting something like a swelling injection might be good too.
