Is it holding up well? I know it gets absorbed more than autologous costal cartilage, but I can’t get a sense of whether it gets absorbed enough for the shape to become completely distorted, or whether it just feels like it gets a bit lower. These days, when I watch doctors on YouTube, some say donated costal cartilage has good outcomes, so you don’t need to worry too much about side effects, while others view it negatively and say that if you have revision surgery with donated costal cartilage, you’ll eventually end up having surgery again, so I’m confused. I’ve had surgery twice with autologous costal cartilage, and even autologous costal cartilage did get absorbed a bit after 5 years. So if donated costal cartilage is also good enough, I don’t want to harvest autologous costal cartilage again.. For those who have had surgery with donated costal cartilage, please share your reviews.
