Two days ago, I received non-incisional masseter reduction surgery in Seomyeon, Busan. I originally planned to do it in Seoul... but it was far,, They did local anesthesia instead of sleep anesthesia, and even though I was anesthetized, my jaw muscles hurt so much. I was scared when they said they would use local anesthesia, but they said it wouldn’t hurt.. I don’t want cosmetic surgery badly enough to go through this much pain. I even started crying.. I was so upset. The doctor just said the jaw muscle would tense up and feel uncomfortable, not that it would hurt.. but it hurt so much.. Instead, they told me off, saying I couldn’t tolerate it.. I regretted it, thinking if it was going to be like this, I should have just gotten Botox.. Right now my face looks like Dooly’s face.. My mouth doesn’t open well.. I have to go back to work in 5 days... I even think Botox was much better.. That’s how I feel. They said the effect is most noticeable at 3 months... then does that mean until then my face stays bigger than usual while the swelling goes down.. On every clinic website, the procedure descriptions say there’s not much swelling and the effect is good... things like that.. I’m worried. I’m afraid it might just be more painful than getting Botox and have no effect..
