A full month has already passed since I had jaw + contour surgery at Glam Plastic Surgery Center! I had a large facial skeleton, and especially prominent lips were my biggest concern and complex, so after a major decision I went ahead with surgery. After the surgery, the hospital gave very careful aftercare, and during the 2-day admission, the nurses and the surgeon checked everything thoroughly, so I could feel reassured.
The pain was less than I expected, but now I am in a battle with swelling ㅠㅠ. They said it will gradually go down as time passes, so I’m going to steady my mind and try waiting it out. I really wish it would disappear overnight, but I’m trying to think of waiting for the time it takes to become beautiful as part of the process. For anyone who is considering orthognathic jaw surgery or facial contouring, I recommend Dr. Tae-sung Lee.
