Disadvantages of autologous costal cartilage

I had my first surgery with autologous costal cartilage, and I don’t think autologous costal cartilage means there are no side effects. I think it’s just luck. It’s easier on the mind if you think every surgery has side effects. I’m looking into revision surgery.

My nose didn’t hurt, but the harvest site hurt like hell. It’s been about 7 years, and for the first few years it was okay, but then my nose gradually dropped and became ugly.

Autologous costal cartilage requires general anesthesia and takes a bit longer to recover from? There can be rib pain too.. But once you recover, those things are nothing.
