When I had zygoma surgery 7 years ago, fixation pins were placed, and over time one side started feeling subtly uncomfortable and bothered me whenever I touched it! I wondered whether I should just leave them in, but I also grind my teeth badly and it kept weighing on my mind, so I decided to have them removed! I was worried for no reason, thinking what if it hurts more or takes a long time… But this clinic had many long-standing cases like mine and the reviews were so good, so I felt I could trust them. During the consultation, the consultant and director explained the process and recovery in detail, so my unnecessary fear went down a lot haha The surgery ended faster than I expected, and the first week was a little uncomfortable because of swelling and a stiff, sore feeling, but as time passed it became much more comfortable. It may vary by person, but I barely had any swelling!! I’m in week 4 now, and the swelling has almost all gone down, and the foreign-body sensation I used to feel is gone, so I feel really relieved!!! Now I can go about daily life freely. I keep thinking I should’ve done it earlier instead of worrying~ I had a lot of worries at first, but they took careful care of everything from the consultation to the surgery and recovery process, so I was able to recover with peace of mind. I’m satisfied with the current result too, and I’m looking forward to it becoming even more natural!
