Hello I had breast implant surgery on 2025/9/8. I had surgery once 10 years ago and had the implants removed 4 years ago, so during the consultation I said I wanted small implants. I also told them that the size before removal was very difficult for me and that I suffered from side effects such as pulling pain in my back. Because of my past medical history of breast cancer surgery and radiation therapy, there was a difference in balance between both sides, and I said I only wanted that part resolved. That is how I had the consultation. And for me, we concluded on left 230, right 265, 285, or 300, and any remaining difference afterward would be adjusted with fat grafting (they said they would do it for 1 million won). Then I went into surgery. Even on the morning of the surgery, I told them again that because the right side had been difficult for me, I was worried the size might end up too large. But after the surgery, when I came out, they said that when they opened it up, the breast pocket size was large, so they inserted 320. For a moment my mind went blank... I didn’t know what to say. What I’m wondering is, even though I clearly communicated the size I did not want, they inserted a different size from what was discussed during consultation. From postoperative day 5, the old side effects came back (or maybe it was psychological), with panic symptoms, difficulty breathing, pulling pain in my back, and tightness in my neck and shoulders. It was so painful that I had them removed on day 8. Even during removal, I asked why they inserted a size I did not want... I said I had removed the previous implants because it was so hard for me during consultation, and that I had told them I wanted a small size, so why did they put it in however they wanted? Then they said that, as a doctor, they had simply performed the surgery to balance both sides well. And on the day of surgery, when I was complaining of distress, they threatened me by saying that if I brought up a refund, they could not perform the removal surgery. It was so frightening. 1. They inserted a different implant size from what we had discussed. 2. During consultation, I said that among subfascial and dual-plane methods, I did not want a surgical method that cuts the muscle. They said there would be no muscle cutting and that it was a new surgical method, but the muscle had been cut. I had surgery because I was emotionally distressed by my complex, spending a large amount of money, 12 million won, but in the end I was only left hurt. I have had them removed now, but the clinic says they cannot give a refund. I would like to ask whether there is anything I can do. I have gathered all the materials, including surgical records and consultation records. I also have all the recordings with the consultation manager (admitting that they heard me say never to insert a large size). How should I handle this? I would appreciate your advice.
