Breast Re-Surgery@breast-redo

DSH areolar incision/Motiva Demi breast surgery 3-week review!

[Reason for breast revision surgery] My first surgery was 13 years ago Because of animation deformity, rippling, a “highway” gap, asymmetry, and dissatisfaction with the feel, I did want to get my breasts redone. But the cost was not small, and even though it had been over 10 years, they were still fine with no rupture or capsular contracture symptoms (after the ultrasound, they said the capsule was also very thin and clean), so I think I hesitated even more about revision surgery. But I started thinking I should do it before it got any later, so after 3 years of thinking about it, I had revision surgery

[Surgery clinic] DSH Director Ok

[Body specs and implant information] Height 162, weight 44, rib cage 61 Mentor textured 255cc -> Motiva Demi 285/300 Areolar incision (they recommended either an areolar incision or inframammary incision, but my first surgery was also through the areola, so I proceeded with the same areolar approach)

⭐️[Day of surgery~Day 5] Surgery at 9:30 a.m., arrived at the clinic by 8:30 They marked the lines, designed it, did the ultrasound, and I went into surgery around 10:30 a.m. Since they also removed the capsule and it was revision surgery, I thought it would take a long time, but the surgery finished a little after 12. It was general anesthesia, but I woke up quickly and was discharged quickly too. They said drains are required for revision surgery, so I came out with them attached. Other than some discomfort from that and the compression bandage feeling tight, I had no pain. Lucky pain-free case

The drains can only be removed once the drainage amount decreases noticeably, and other people seemed to get them removed on Day 4-5ㅜㅜ Maybe because I had no pain, I used my arms more than I thought? The amount didn’t decrease quickly, so I had them removed on Day 7

⭐️[1 week~2 weeks] After the drains were removed, I felt like I could live again Maybe because it was revision surgery? I could feel swelling in the newly opened breast pocket area (between the breasts) and under the breasts, but the upper breasts were already soft~! I thought recovery would be fast

From Day 10, I could feel that things became much more comfortable The discomfort I felt when raising my arms upward or moving around disappeared.

When I went for my Day 12 follow-up, I received Caps + swelling care For one week, after showering, I dried and disinfected the areolar tape Day 18, the tape attached to the areolar wounds was removed, and I started scar cream

Honestly, I think the hardest part was until the drains were removed There was no pain, but because of the compression bandage + cotton between the breasts, I felt so stuffy that I couldn’t eat well, and whether the drain tube was pinching my skin or something, it hurt from being pressed, and the tape allergy + itchiness because of the bandage were the hardest, seriouslyㅠ

The pressure marks from then, scratch marks, and the holes where the drain tubes were inserted all left scars, so I’m managing them with cream because I’m worried about hyperpigmentation.

During my first surgery, for real, for 3 months? they were like rocks, and for 6 months they were like bouncy balls, but because this was revision surgery, the tissue had already loosened and the breast pockets had already been made, so I think the feel will come back quickly tooㅎㅎ

The center and lower breasts are still tight, but the upper breasts + outer breasts are already soft and squishy I wonder why I only did it nowㅠㅠ I should’ve just done it sooner, why did I think about it so much If you have anything you’re curious about, ask me. I’ll answer as much as I canㅎㅎ
